Set in roaring twenties Hollywood, Michel Hazanavicius's highly acclaimed film shows swashbuckling silent film star George Valentin's career in sharp decline with the advent of Talking Pictures, while studio extra Peppy Miller is rising through the ranks to become a star. Their destinies entwined, The Artist is a sparkling Comedy/ Drama/ Romance, a love letter to a Golden era of Filmmaking and to the Director's wife and leading lady Bérénice Bejo. Jean Dujardin and the entire cast are sheer perfection, Guillaume Schiffman's cinematography is sublime and Ludovic Bource's original score is inspired in this supremely entertaining and much acclaimed film. Winner of over 150 Film Awards worldwide including ten Academy Award nominations and five awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Original Score and Best Costume Design,  Hazanavicius's The Artist is pure movie magic from the first frame to the last.
